    On the afternoon of September 15, 2023, the "Ocean Sensors - Ocean-themed Popular Science Art Exhibition" opened at CAFA Museum. The exhibition was jointly organized by the School of Experimental Art and Sci-Tech Art and  the Institute of Science and Technology Arts of CAFA, the National Key Laboratory of Nearshore Marine Environmental Science, Xiamen University College of Ocean and Earth Sciences, Xiamen University College of the Environment and Ecology, Xiamen University Research Vessel Operation Management Center, Fujian-Taiwan Strait Marine Ecosystem National Field Science Observation Research Station, and 70.8 Ocean Media Laboratory.

    Professor Frédéric Ogée from Université Paris Cité Visited CAFA

    On the afternoon of September 11, Professor Frédéric Ogée from Université Paris Cité gave the lecture “Sociability and Portraiture in British Art from William Hogarth to Thomas Lawrence, 1730-1830” at the Red Chair Hall. Professor Ogée is a renowned scholar in the field of eighteenth-century British literature and art. The lecture, an event of the “Liberal Arts Lecture Hall” series of the School of Humanities, was hosted by Zheng Yikan, with Han Ying as coordinator and Xie Tao as interpreter.

    In July 2023, local time, Ms. Leng Wen, a doctoral student from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in the 2022 cohort, was awarded the Dior Award for Photography and Visual Arts for Young Talents, in its sixth edition, announced in Arles, France.     Kang Jianfei’s Experimental Exhibition opens in Shanghai

    Kang Jianfei graduated from the Printmaking Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1997 and won the highest award at the graduation exhibition. He has remained at the academy as a teacher ever since. His artistic research spans over twenty years and maintains a "self-experimental" attitude. He believes that the primary task of an artist is to deal with the interactive relationship between the artist's identity and the artistic medium, and this relationship determines an artist's artistic attitude.
