In 2005, he graduated from the Department of Chinese Painting at the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree, and stayed on as a teacher. He is currently Dean, Associate Professor of traditional Chinese painting, postgraduate advisor of the School of Continuing Education at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and a member of the Chinese Artists Association. In 2017, he served as one of the guardians of the national treasure "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" in the cultural exploration program "National Treasures" launched by CCTV.
